I am a reservoir engineer with about 24 years of international field experience and spanning dynamic simulation, M&A due diligence, reservoir management and oilfield operations across the North Sea, Russia, Africa, Europe and North America.

My career began at Schlumberger in Hanover as an ECLIPSE simulation expert for Central Europe and Ukraine. I then moved into operator roles — first at Wintershall-Dea in Germany and Libya, then as a senior reservoir engineer at TotalEnergies in Denmark, where I have spent the last seven years on the Dan, Halfdan and Gorm chalk fields.

In parallel, I have run an independent consulting practice through Reservoir GmbH since 2010 by covering major North Sea operators, complex M&A transactions for financial institutions and full-field simulation studies across multiple geographies.

My technical core is dynamic uncertainty modelling: building, calibrating and interrogating simulation models that give operators genuine decision-making confidence rather than false precision.

I operate two parallel tracks. The consulting practice through Reservoir GmbH in Hamburg which is a premium one-person operation. Clients work directly with me. No account managers, no delegation.

Alongside consulting, I am the founder of runspec.io, an AI-assisted OPM Flow simulation platform currently in early development. ~24 years of simulation practice is what makes the product technically serious. The product is what keeps the practice forward-looking.

I was a lecturer in dynamic reservoir simulation at TU Bergakademie Freiberg and the author of a two-day workshop on deep geothermal projects in Germany for financial institutions.
